Lonnie Dupre at Trailfitters

Arctic explorer, mountaineer, and author Lonnie Dupre will join us for a night of tales from his explorations. Lonnie has checked off numerous trips to the North Pole, circumnavigated Greenland by sled and kayak, and summited Denali, by himself, in January of 2015!

Lonnie’s latest book, “Alone at the Top,” depicts his solo journey to the top of Denali in January-a feat no one had accomplished. With snow and wind as his only companions, Lonnie pushed through extreme adversity to accomplish his goal and return home safely.

The presentation starts at 6:30 pm in the Spirit of the North Theater on the 3rd floor of the Fitger’s Complex (one floor above the Brewhouse). Snacks and refreshments will be available.

Tickets are available at Trailfitters for $5, with all of the money going to the Secret Forest Playschool in Duluth.
