Park in the discovery center parking lot. This route is marked with yellow ribbon. Give right of way and caution to bikers on these trails. This is a shared use trail similar to many trails in the Duluth city limits which hikers and bikers will both be using. Make your way through the route COUNTER-CLOCKWISE which is opposite the biking direction. Take your picture at the secret garden overlooking the pit and finish the loop! This retired mine has been renovated into an outdoor recreation area for hikers and bikers! Boasting views of old quarry lakes, it sure is a treat.
